Maryland question

From: A.D. (alwayschaos@yahoo.com) | Date: 2002-10-25 17:13:16 UTC-07:00
For some reason I can't seem to find this information
on the web--is hunting allowed on Sundays? Am trying
to make plans to perhaps snag a few MD boxes but am
reluctant to traipse through the woods during hunting
season.

Thanks

There is no hunting allowed in MD on Sundays. Still, be careful.

Hunting isn't generally allowed in Maryland on Sundays. Here's a snippet
from the MD Department of Natural Resources web site
(http://www.dnr.state.md.us/huntersguide/) (Actually this page:
http://www.dnr.state.md.us/huntersguide/geninfo.html):

While I don't make a habit of visiting the same places as hunters during
the season, I bought an inexpensive fluorescent orange vest to wear over my
jacket while hiking on Sundays or in areas where hunters might be illegally
hunting.

That should be "where POACHERS are illegally hunting"
